“Wow – this would make a great Movie!”
This is the comment I hear from people most often, right after they have read Doc Christmas. It’s not that surprising to me – I first wrote Doc Christmas as a movie script! My goal now is to make sure that it is seen as a movie – one day.
To that end we’ve been playing around with building cameras, (if you have read the book, you will know why we need to build our own cameras), establishing a few test scenes for fun… … and have started the process of identifying possible locations for the various scenes.
Even if you have not yet read Doc Christmas, (Tsk, tsk), you can still probably guess that since Christmas happens all over the world, there are scenes to be shot in many countries. And, since the book is very much about how trains take part in the delivery of Christmas, we’ve called the location search…
“The 12 trains of Christmas”
If you are (or know of) a Railroad, model or full-size, that would be a great place to film a scene for Doc Christmas, please let us know. We will be setting up a separate website to handle the search and will post it here as it becomes available.
